Have you ever wondered why an event that happens can seem to be so much easier or harder from one person to the next in the same circumstance? A great example is having a relationship end and for one person it seems to be excruciating and for the other they may be a little sad...

Needing Others to Change in Order to Forgive Them

July 28. 2016 | by Brook Still | Ask Brook, Featured Articles[ssba title="Needing Others to Change in Order to Forgive Them" url="https://creationcenter.org/needing-others-to-change-in-order-to-forgive-them/"]

Q. How can I really forgiving someone when they won't change? ~ Lisa H. – Texas   A. This is a challenging piece to move through and I'm grateful you asked this, you are not alone in feeling this way.  We don’t forgive someone else to make them feel better, to absolve them of their sins.  No one needs another human’s absolution to be clear and considered pure again, thank God.  We forgive so that we can get past the pain of our hurts and expand our capacity to love even more.  We forgive so that we can let go of staying trapped in the old energy of pain and unhealthy connections to that other person/situation. Ultimately we have no right to judge anyone, inherently there is good in bad people and bad in good people, myself included.  I have also seen people choose not to forgive because they lack the courage to move forward with their life.  It is safer to stay in that energetic rut than to allow themselves the freedom to move forward to get past the...

Maneuvering Through the Drama Triangle to Heal Deep Seeded Emotional Triggers

How to Heal Deep Seeded Emotional Triggers

June 9. 2016 | by Brook Still | Ask Brook, Featured Articles[ssba title="How to Heal Deep Seeded Emotional Triggers" url="https://creationcenter.org/maneuvering-through-the-drama-triangle-to-heal-deep-seeded-emotional-triggers/"]

Q. How do we heal through deep seeded emotional triggers when they've been practiced for years? ~ Talya – B.C. Canada   A. The most powerful way I’ve found to heal deep seeded emotional triggers is to get really real with myself by asking the poignant question of “What part am I playing in this reactive state to my emotional trigger?” “What am I getting out of this that I am so willing to go into this reaction over and over again?” Once I’ve sat with these questions I can usually point it out to a role in the drama triangle. The roles of the drama triangle are Victim, Persecutor, and Rescuer. And most of the time, it is one of the major three energies under each role in this triangle. It is also tied into feeling the need to be honored, being justified in our actions, being heard, receiving some form of acknowledgment of worth, feeling loved or the need for connection with others even if it isn’t positive - it’s still a connection. There is a remarkable way...

Meeting the World with Empowered Innocence

February 25. 2016 | by Brook Still | A-Ha! Moments, Featured Articles[ssba title="Meeting the World with Empowered Innocence" url="https://creationcenter.org/meeting-the-world-with-empowered-innocence/"]

As adults, how we introduce ourselves is more about what we do in the world and less about who we truly are. As kids, it was your name and then a myriad of questions to find connection: “What’s your favorite game? Do you like to ride bikes? My favorite color is a rainbow, what’s yours?” These questions were based more on what you liked and what you liked to do, so that we could do it together. Through this onslaught of fast paced excited questioning, it often lead to super-charged joyous connection blowing the mere happy by yourself right out of the water. As for me, the squeals of delight and sound of group laughter were the highlight of my days as a kid. Now, as an adult, it’s the blissful connection to my Soul that excites me, followed by the squeals of delight and sounds of group laughter. This way of being offers me the balance of being a fully empowered adult with a childlike heart of innocence. For me it is the amazing gift of being powerful, playful,...

Healing Relationships with the Energy of this New Moon

August 14. 2015 | by Brook Still | A-Ha! Moments, Featured Articles[ssba title="Healing Relationships with the Energy of this New Moon" url="https://creationcenter.org/healing-relationships-with-the-energy-of-this-new-moon/"]

This month we are in the middle of the Venus Retrograde and our New Moon is in Leo. A very simple breakdown of the energy of this is that when we move into a Venus Retrograde it generally refers to a fated period around our love lives where we may relive past life experiences in order to sort out karmic issues. In this retrograde we are in the energy of Leo and this gives us the opportunity to do this as a Soul from really being aware of how we’ve created these experiences through our personalities. It is huge to stay in alignment during this time to do the best work possible on healing these pieces for yourself and those you love so as not to fall into the trap of feeling victimized or beating yourself up for having been the aggressor in your relationships. I love that the Perseids meteor shower took place yesterday morning to herald in the energy for today. This shower originates from a place called the radiant in the constellation of Perseus and most particles...
