Have you ever heard that saying "Everything you want in life is just outside your comfort zone?" So many people in the world are traveling through their lives with their spiritual, emotional, physical, and psychological emergency brakes on and because of it they never pick up speed or momentum to even peak beyond the corner of their comfort zone, let alone go full throttle and fly towards a life of their dreams. Their doubts more often than not win the day and their fears override the juicy freedom that awaits openly beyond the illusionary borders that they've placed upon themselves.  Borders that become maximum potential demarcation lines surrounding what they've deemed possible for their life. Potential by definition means “that which is possible” and so the question remains what is your human potential then after all?  Where is your personal finish line letting you know that you've reached it?  Is there an indication, a light bulb, a spark of awareness that goes off inside your mind letting you know that you've hit your limit when you've given your life...

The Consciousness of Positive Outlook

The Consciousness of Positive Outlook

How many times have you had the absolute knowing that something in your life, an experience, a job interview, a relationship, a final test on an exam, a lifelong dream, or maybe even an idea, was going to work out for you just the way that you wanted it too?  Maybe you even had an extra spark of faith that the outcome of what you were hoping for would even turn out to be better than you could have initially imagined.  I would lovingly argue that the “absolute knowing” that you may have experienced, where you felt that life and the universe were fully supporting you in a unique and special way, was due to what I call holding the Consciousness of Positive Outlook. Over the last decade, I have come to learn, that to have a positive outlook surrounding a future outcome for your life, isn’t always something that just gently falls into your awareness out of the blue.  It is also not necessarily something that you are born having as a trait, but rather a supportive state of...

Manifesting A New Perspective - Creating A New World

Manifesting A New Perspective – Creating A New World

You yourself are the eternal energy which appears as this Universe.   You didn't come into this world; you came out of it.  Like a wave from the ocean.  ~Alan Watts Perspective is one of those interesting things because no matter who you ask, you will always get a different answer.  As the saying goes, no matter how small you slice the cake there will always be two sides.  Lately, I’ve been dancing in the playground of perception, sitting in the stillness of contemplation and looking deeper within myself to find a wiser understanding around this concept.   What does “perspective” really mean for all of us playing in the game of creation? How does it affect our microcosmic selves in our infinitesimal time here on this planet? Especially with the notion that reality is bendable. If perspective is personal and there are as many points of view as there are people on this planet, then what is real?  What is the “absolute truth” if all truth is ultimately relative to the unique observer playing at their life?  I’ve learned...

Stillness

Stillness

I find that people are beginning to understand the importance of creating deeper levels of stillness within their being however, I also notice it is often fleeting.  If we truly want to achieve greater levels of happiness and peace within our lives, stillness needs to be embraced as an absolute necessity and made a priority.   For me, stillness becomes the gentle space where life slows down.  It is a quiet peacefulness and a sweet awareness of all that is going on around me.  In looking at stillness as a collective consciousness experience it is often neglected for the busyness of existing.  We are not supposed to miss this life.  We are not supposed to miss this moment.  Stillness is about noticing with pristine presence your journey on every level, from the beautiful little birds joyfully dancing in the wind, to the falling of the leaves from the trees as the seasons go by.  It is fully engaging with the feeling and sensation that comes with each breath and each heartbeat.  Stillness gives us our life back and it...

Conscious Leadership

Conscious Leadership

How many times in your life have you had a moment where someone did or said something so simple, so small, and yet you feel that it profoundly made your life better?  For many of us, it can be uncomfortable to think of ourselves as powerful enough to have influence over someone else or we may doubt our ability asking “How can one little act of service, performed with intention and mindfulness, really change someone's life?”  Sometimes it can feel overwhelming that who we are and how we choose to be in the world can matter that much to other people.  I believe that as long as we make leadership something larger than us, as long as we choose to keep leadership something that is outside of our reach, and as long as we make it about changing the entire world and everything in it, we, unfortunately, give ourselves an excuse and permission not to demand it every day from ourselves and from each other, because it feels too big. What if we play with this concept and look at...

Honoring Amber - Lessons From Loss

Honoring Amber – Lessons From Loss

I was sitting in a coffee shop one early morning, talking on the phone with my younger sister Maja, when a text came through from my Mom.  In the text was a black and white picture of my older sister Amber and in it was her obituary. I found out later in the day that she had not been feeling very well and that the ambulance had been called to her house.  She was taken to the hospital where she instantly graduated from this life from heart failure.  She was 37 years old. Amber and I sadly hadn't spoken in years due mostly to our egos getting in the way, but also our differences in perspectives that could have so easily been resolved.  We always laughed while growing up that our family was slightly strange because we were convinced that if we didn't agree on something, it was probably best to just completely stop talking to each other altogether, and sadly somehow this became our reality as well. My father had Amber in his first marriage before marrying my mother...

How Can Two Minutes of Focus Change Your Life?

How Can Two Minutes of Focus Change Your Life?

Time is the most valuable resource that we all have on this planet.  There are those who never seem to have enough of it, many who don't make the most of it, and yet each day we all have the same amount of it. So why is time so significant?  Well, it's very clear, because once it's used, it's the one commodity that we can never get back. So, when a close friend of mine looked me straight in the eyes and said “Two minutes Kjirsten”, I paused and took a moment to think about what she said before she followed up with this confident and bold statement, “I have convinced myself that I can do ANYTHING for two minutes.”  Later that day I was in the gym happily spinning my legs off, grateful that I have legs to spin in the first place, when I caught myself repeating the same mantra without realizing it, “come on Kjirst, just two more minutes, you've got this.”  I usually finish the gym with sitting in an extra hot steam room and today,...

Today, while at work, I received guidance to go to the beach immediately after I finished. At this point in my life experience I have absolute faith in my soul, so without question, I listen. As I walked to the beach, oblivious, and thinking I was in total control of my life and of my little stroll to the ocean, I found myself at a log that had my name written all over it. As I sat down, I took a moment to close my eyes, be still, breathe, and connect to my soul. With a peaceful and quiet mind, I looked up across the ocean, a few miles away into the distance. Suddenly I realized that I had been placed very specifically, in the exact location necessary, to directly stare into the tower that I had once lived in 10 years ago. So, in the exact same moment that I looked up at this beautifully lit tower across the ocean, staring into the room on the 12th floor of the space that I had once lived in over a...

Trusting Your Intuition – Letting Your Soul Guide You

I’ve been very blessed in my life to have walked beside and learned from some exceptionally aware and wise beings. Their perspectives about this amazing game that we’re all playing have truly been fundamental in shaping my own perspectives about life. Because of them, I have been able to move through my life experience with a tremendous amount of grace, and my hope is in sharing this story it will serve you in delving deeper into trusting your own amazing intuition too. Recently, I woke up on my day off, after an amazing week of working with incredible clients who I adore. I decided it was finally time to go get those groceries that I had been putting off getting all week, and planned to be out the door by 9am as I had an exciting day to get to. Around 11am, after realizing I had just been sidetracked for 2 hours in distraction and daydreaming about how grateful I was for everything in my life, I made it out the door. My teachers have always taught me that everything...
